Jay Fisher - World Class Knifemaker
Golden Eagle
A beautiful small knife with a hollow ground, hand-engraved 440C high chromium stainless steel blade. I also engraved the 304 stainless steel bolsters. The knife has unusual and distinctive graduated filework, as the filework size and pattern is directly sized by the thickness of the tapered tang. This knife deserved a special handle, so I bedded a beautiful pair of Italian Blue Goldstone gemstone handle scales. These stunning pieces of gem have bits of shiny copper floating in a transparent sea of dark blue. The play of light is amazing; see the special video clip here!
The knife deserved a commensurate sheath, so I constructed a blued leather sheath with inlays of lizard skin.
