Stratos

Stratos: liner lock folding knife

Stratos is a custom liner lock folding knife made for an F16 pilot for his utility carry. The blade is mirror finished 440C high chromium stainless steel, fully fileworked, with a matching 440C spacer bar, hardened and tempered throughout. The liners and spring plate are 6AL4V titanium, chosen for its toughness and light weight. Milled holes in the titanium liners ease the handle weight even more, and give the knife a nice balance. The titanium is fileworked throughout, and the spring plate is anodized a golden color, and the liners are anodized a beautiful blue. All the titanium is bead blasted for a flat, uniform finish that allows the deep anodization to display brightly. All of the hardware is 302 stainless steel, for longevity and corrosion resistance. I made a 6 oz. thick leather display sheath for carry and security which allows the knife to display a bit, while securing and protecting with a nickel plated steel retaining snap. A beautiful piece for carry or collection.

Thanks,  M. W.!
