Samodiva Tactical, Combat, Working  Knife

  • Weight: Knife: 15.6 oz. (442 grams) Sheath: 11.8 oz. (335 grams)

  • Knife: This is a great new knife design. I wanted to offer a knife that was useful for working and reliable carry, tough enough for tactical combat, and lightweight enough for comfort and speed and made of solid, durable, and corrosion resistant materials. Samodiva is the name for Balkan woodland fairies, and the thin and graceful lines of Samodiva are elegant and yet razor keen. The blade could be classified as a clip point Bowie, and is very thinly ground 440C high chromium stainless tool steel tempered to 57HRC for great toughness through the thin hollow grinds and extremely high corrosion resistance. The blade has a nice clipped and swaged point and is beautifully matching in hollow grinds from the grind terminations to the point lead-off. The blade has no filework, and is smooth and even, with a fully tapered tang and perfect balance. The knife is bolstered with zero care 304 high nickel, high chromium austenitic stainless steel for the ultimate in tough corrosion resistance. The bolsters are radiused, dressed and comfortable. The large front bolster reinforces the thumb rise with the locking tang notch and a solid forefinger quillon. The rear bolster has a chamfered 5/16" chamfered lanyard hole for extra security and a deep quillon to lock the hand into the handle. The bolsters are dovetailed and bed a pair of super-tough canvas reinforced green and black layered Micarta phenolic, secured with six through-tang stainless steel pins. The balance point of the knife is right at the location of the forefinger in forward grip style, and the knife feels fast and light in the hand, yet extremely solid.
  • Sheath: I've included one of my positively locking waterproof sheaths, and this one is made of double thickness kydex thermoformed over a 5052H32 high strength, corrosion resistant aluminum alloy welt frame, secured with nickel plated steel Chicago screws. The locking mechanism is all stainless steel for the ultimate in corrosion resistance, and the die formed high strength aluminum belt loops are reversible as well as able to be positioned in several locations along the welt lines for versatile and useful wear options.
  • Accessories: Please don't forget that if you require any of my useful custom accessories, they are available for this fine knife!
  • A great new tactical, combat, or working knife with intriguing lines, elegant grinds, and outstanding corrosion resistant materials.
