  • Handle: Black Palm Hardwood
  • Sheath: Kydex, Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Nickel Plated Steel with ultimate belt loop extender in polypropylene, nylon, and stainless steel with accessory package
  • Knife: This is a custom professional combat tactical knife made for a great client. The Kapteyn is a tough, sharp, and serious tool, with thick stock in the spine to support the deeply hollow ground and razor sharp blade. The half length blade swage offers a reduced point cross-section for a very sharp point without sacrificing spine strength. This knife has 2" of our vicious "vampire" rip teeth serrations for tough cutting chores, and the fully tapered tang has striking filework for increased purchase in grip. The handle has deep quillons bolstered with high chromium, high nickel 304 austenitic stainless steel bolsters, pinned and permanently mounted and dovetailed. The bead blasted finish gives the knife a very low care and non-reflective surface. They bolsters frame a beautiful pair of hard Black Palm hardwood scales, showing the woods unique figure and design adding a wonderful contrast to the bead blasted surface. The hardwood scales are bedded and secured with six 304 stainless steel pins.
  •  Sheath: The sheath for this knife is in a waterproof, locking combat model, made of double thick kydex, 5052H32 corrosion resistant aluminum, all stainless steel locking mechanism and machine screws, and stainless steel Chicago screws; the toughest, most secure combat sheath made. The ultimate extender is included, which offers a more traditional and lower position on the belt line, and includes a diamond pad sharpener in a dedicated and secure pocket, a safety caged magnesium/firesteel fire starter and neat features like the anti-flop shock strap for high energy movement. It is waterproof and made of polypropylene stitched with tough nylon and is mounted with all stainless steel machine screws and retaining straps.
  • A powerful knife ready for immediate use in nearly all situations.

Thanks, N.S.!

Jay,
I just received the Kapteyn. You and Rusty did an amazing job! The knife has great balance and weight. The black palm scales look so unique and feel natural in the grip. Filings and serrations look great. A stunning and functional piece. Thank you very much!
